Building systems.
Automating complexity.
I’m Waldemar Krakowiak, an IT Platform Engineer. I build automation, develop platforms and connect infrastructure with software. This site showcases work I have actually done.
Featured projects
Two personal projects explored from the original problem through architecture and technical decisions.
Enterprise engineering
Selected areas of professional experience, intentionally kept at a safe, high level.
Jira Automation
Developing and maintaining automation and workflow logic within Jira environments.
Slack Migration
Contributing to a large-scale communication platform migration, with emphasis on data processing.
AWX Automation

Other projects
How I work
Understand the problem first. Choose the tool second.
Understand constraints
I start with the data flow, the user and the source of manual work or operational risk.
Simple architecture
I separate responsibilities, keep deployment straightforward and avoid unnecessary complexity.
Operations matter
I consider access, diagnostics, automation and safe change management from the start.

From coaching and automation to platform engineering
My first technical tools grew out of everyday problems in swimming coaching. Today I work with automation and infrastructure professionally, while personal projects let me explore systems from architecture to operations.
